She looks like Yasmin Ahmad's girl.
Wait.
She is Yasmin Ahmad's girl.
Pantat gue kembali mengarungi angin, bergabung dengan oma-oma Jepang minta poto bersama Sharifah Amani. Monik gue seret untuk ikut motoin dengan kamera Olympus barunya, jangan pake kamera Fuji berbatere AA gue.
"Amani," katanya sambil menjulurkan tangannya.
"We met in Jiffest."
"Oh no. It was so long ago... when was it?"
"It was right after she was dead, there was a retrospective on her," jawab gue.
Dia terlihat sedikit menerawang, mungkin teringat almarhumah Yasmin Ahmad.
Hanya sedetik. The next second dia udah kembali pecicilan di depan lensa kamera Monik.
Gue memeriksa hasil fotonya, OMG. Gue terlihat raksasa kali di samping doi. Jadilah itu foto batal jadi profile picture facebook.
"Titip ini tas ye," katanya sambil dipanggil produsernya untuk another foto bareng.
"Sure," jawab gue senang.
"But this is not Malaysia, what? No need lah. No copet here. Aman," katanya jahil.
Gue kembali ke dalam karena Q&A In The Absence Of The Sun hampir dimulai.
Harap-harap dia nonton In The Absence Of The Sun.
Nggak.
Ah kalau memang takdir pasti besok ketemu lagi.
"The last time I heard you were thinking about directing, right? How is it?"
"I did some short films. One of them was screened here... and in Kyoto, actually," katanya.
"You know how it is when you have something precious and everyone wants to have it," katanya mengakhiri cerita yang tidak ingin diceritakan.
"What about your own feature film?"
"I try to take it slow... you know being anak emas Yasmin Ahmad, it certainly has a pressure on it," katanya.
"Well, it doesn't have to be good, right? Just do it," kata gue yang belum pernah merasakan beratnya jadi anak emas Yasmin Ahmad. Gue menyesal memakai tagline Nike sembarangan.
"Well I do short films first lah. Like the first script I wrote, I gave it to Yasmin AD which became my DoP. He was like saying... why was the script so sad? Did Yasmin ever teach you to be this sad?"
Actually, Yasmin never told them anything. She never told anyone to do anything.
But she always wanted her film to have Hope, because it is the only presents she could give to her audience.
Hope.
Bagi filmmaker yang bikin film dengan tagline 'There's No Place For Us Here', Hope terdengar seperti kemewahan.
"Are you doing anything tonight? Let's go dancing-dancing," kata Amani sambil joget-joget di tengah jalan depan Bar.
Mumpung di Tokyo. Gak ada paparazzi.
"Indonesia are so much better. Di Malaysia, kalau nak dancing-dancing or to smoke in public, it will make it to the front cover," katanya sebal. "But I don't care. I just smoke."
"Well... come to Indonesia then. You can smoke and dance and become the minister," jawab gue merayu doi ke Indonesia.
Muke Lucky sudah siap pulang, malas ikut dancing-dancing. Gue pun akhirnya pulang, bukan karena males ikut dancing-dancing. Tapi karena pengen beli i Phone. Harus hemat.
Lupa lagi minta contact doi.
Damn.
"I just take it slow. Kalau Allah dah mau, semue pasti jadi," kata Sharifah Amani tadi.
Ah kalau memang takdir pasti besok ketemu lagi.
